MANUELA GJOKA
In her evocative scanographic series “Death of a Jellyfish”, Manuela Gjoka captures the haunting beauty of decay. The project continues the artist's fascination with jellyfish, a theme also explored in her previous works. Patiently Manuela monitored the gradual process of its decomposition—each stage revealing unexpected textures, colors, and forms as the once-living creature transformed into water, capturing it through scanning. The series is both intimate and universal, offering a profound meditation on the fragility of life, the inevitability of decay, and the silent narratives that unfold in nature. Manuela’s work serves as a powerful reminder of the cycles that govern all living things, focusing on transformation rather than end. By documenting the jellyfish's transformation, she challenges us to find beauty and meaning in impermanence.
